WHERE THE SEAHORSES PLAY

A flat bar skippy
On a sandbar ship
Mud puppies down dirty
In the bottomless pit
Broken trombones toot the Jeopardy theme
As Jesus does a ditty on the nativity scene
A plate of mello jello
With the essence of funk
A “peace out” to my “hello”
And the centerpiece stunk
The headstone read,
In the shade of the tree
“My baby lay heavy
on the floor of the sea”

I’m not going to be here for the
Cancerous wave
I’ll be under the ocean where
The seahorses play.
