FB&A: Song in work

Bill Bell had a little surprise for us today. Here it is :

From Bill Bell:
Many of you know the album name. and for those who are familiar with the track list you’ll note there is no actual song called Feudal, Brutal and the American Dream.
Well, actually there was one in progress – various people heard Spencer play it (or parts of it) from time to time (Brady even sang a bit of it to me once). Here are the lyrics as Spence left them

You can wish for whatever you want
You can afford whatever you need
it’s feudal
it’s brutal
it’s the american dream
and it must feed

Westward Expansion
didn’t mean a mansion
by the sea
for any fat cat
with an oil tycoon grand-dad
& Manifest Destiny*
didn’t mean aggressively
arresting minorities
for smoking weed & loitering
But that’s what they’ve become
And as the father of my unborn son
I’m very disappointed with the unfulfilled promises
of our ancestors
